Sarv Music Academy was initiated by Shahin Fayaz, Kousha Nakhaei, and Mahin Mohajer in 2013. After less than three years, they have became one of the top successful music institutes in Toronto and GTA, with over 15 music instructors in variety of music subjects and instruments.
Instruction is provided in instruments such as violin, cello, tar, setar, oud, tonbak, kamanche, daf, santour, voice, flute, piano, guitar, and a variety of ensembles including string orchestra, choir, orff (music for children) and traditional Iranian ensembles. Sarv’s professional team of instructors includes renowned tonbak virtuoso Perdam Khavarzamini, Keyan Emami (Doctorate Candidate at University of Toronto), acclaimed vocalist Hassan Anami to name a few. Students as young as 4yrs old to adults and seniors join the private or group classes, awaken their inner music talent while enjoying the warm, friendly and professional atmosphere.
Sarv Music Academy has also hosted workshops by world renowned music icons including Maestro Hossein Alizadeh, renowned Iranian vocalist Parissa, and internationally acclaimed Greek music expert Ross Daly, whereby these masters share their vision and experience with its students and the community.
Other than private lessons, Sarv presents opportunities for students and community members to experience music more deeply by participating in community educational events, such as Listening Club® (weekly programs programs of music listening, analysis, introduction to musical ideas, composers, pieces of music and more) and monthly Nachtmusik® concerts featuring professional artists in the intimate atmosphere of Sarv Music Academy.
